Entry #2 Crossing the Threshold

Every story worth telling begins with a threshold — a place where the old world ends and the strange one begins.

This is mine.

For more than two decades I’ve wandered the American Southwest with a camera, a backpack, and the kind of curiosity that keeps you out on the road long after the sun drops behind the canyon rim. I’ve chased storms, listened to wind that sounded like it was carrying messages, and stood under enough impossible night skies to know mystery is real.

Turquoise UFO is the next step in that journey.

Not a brand.

Not a project.

A path.

A way to share the landscapes, the stories, the folklore, and the cosmic weirdness that shaped me into who I am today. The desert has a long memory — longer than any of us. And every now and then, if you’re quiet enough, it lets you glimpse something ancient… or something not entirely from here.

This blog will be where I trace that path:

behind-the-scenes from tours, desert lore, UFO history, photography from the road, and the strange little moments that make this journey worth taking.

So here we are —

first step, first signal in the dark.

The road opens from here.
